Week beginning: 24/06/2019

Shwmae,

Summer show - most people have sent in their requests for tickets. If you haven't please do so by Wednesday as we would like to start offering the extra tickets on a first come first served basis. If you need another ticket order form please ask and I will send one home.

Costumes - I posted last week that costumes will be needed for Wednesday 26th June but we will not be doing the dress rehearsal until Monday 1st or Tuesday 2nd July of the following week. Therefore if you could just ensure costumes are ready by Friday 28th June some dress rehearsals during the end of that week before the show the following week.
The show is Robin Hood themed - so can you either dress up in Robin Hood style as one of the Merry Men (Tunic / baggy top with a belt and some leggings or tights - these can be as colourful as you wish!)

Or alternatively you can go for the Sherwood villager look - girls long skirt and blouse / apron and maybe a mop cap. Boys in a waistcoat / shorts and a flat cap.

Please allow the children to attend both performances: For the KS2 show it is really important that you allow childre to attend both evening performances, not just the ones you are attending to watch. As they learn their positioning and also when children don't attend it affects the quality of the overall singing and dancing. I would be really grateful that if a show clashes with one of their regular clubs outside of school that they could make an exception to attend the show.

Class Presentations:

We are going to start our 1970s family presentations this week and I am really looking forward to the variety of stories and information children will be able to share about their families. Here is a reminder of the timetable posted a few weeks ago:
