Wythnos 3: 17.06.2019

Shwmae all,

Apologies that we have had to postpone sports day again - see the main blog for full details.

Summer show - the children should have brought home tickets for the show on Friday. Tickets will start being sent home next week, if you want to submit your initial orders. We have started learning the songs and will be looking to learn some dances as well next week!

Costumes: The show is Robin Hood themed - so can you  either dress up in Robin Hood style as one of the Merry Men (Tunic / baggy top with a belt and some leggings or tights - these can be as colourful as you wish!)

Or alternatively you can go for the Sherwood villager look - girls long skirt and blouse / apron and maybe a mop cap. Boys in a waistcoat / shorts and a flat cap.

Costumes will be needed for Wednesday 26th June as we plan to do some dress rehearsals during the end of that week before the show the following week.

Homework: This is the final week to get your presentations ready. Try to learn as much as possible so that you are talking to the class as opposed to reading notes. Remember aim to speak for around 3 - 5 minutes so practice your timings at home to see how you do.

Healthy Eating posters: Thank you for those who have submitted / shared a poster with me. If you have saved it in your J2E can you let me know or if you have drawn a hand drawn entry please give it to me by Wednesday ready to enter the competition.

Mathemateg: Could everybody please practice their 3 and 4 times tables to ensure you know them confidently in and out of order. Remember to use hit the button to help test your knowledge and if you feel really confident try 'hit the answer' so you are using all of the fact family.

Monday: Spelling check up in class

Thursday: KS2 quiz night 6pm - see main blog for details. If your child would like to come they need to be placed into a team so they need to ask members of Year 6 for help doing this.

Friday: Mrs Boat will be teaching today. SAFE maths will be tested and please bring in outdoor PE kit.

Diolch,

Mr Ball
