Your homework task is to create a quiz about your chosen town.
You will be using another of the new Office 365 apps 'Forms' it is another green coloured image and its next to the Sway app.
Forms allows you to create surveys / questionnaires (like the one the Sports Council produced) but you can also create a 'quiz' which is what your task is.
You need to use the first two options Choice (picture of a dot) or Text (picture of ABC) choice will allow you to put a choice of answers – some wrong ones amongst the correct answer, and you can also add a comment if they choose the correct or wrong answer. Don't make the answers too obvious. You can pick as many wrong answers (red herrings) as you want but a choice of 4 usually works well.
The text option means they have to type the answer – make sure you spell words correctly and use capital letter for names of people and places.
Be careful when answering a forms is sensitive to capital letter. Places / people need to have capital letters – if you have discovered the correct answer but made a spelling mistake or forgotten a capital letter the quiz will mark it wrong.
How many questions should you ask? Aim for a minimum of 10 questions but no more than 15 questions.
How many quizzes must I answer? We have drawn a partner who must answer our quiz but you can answer your friends quiz if they have shared the link with you – or any quiz of a town you want to test yourself on – all quiz links need to be posted in the discussion part.
Try and complete your quiz by Sunday to give people chance to answer it and we can compare our answers next week.
Change the background theme of your quiz: On the top black bar there is a picture of a paint pallet (next to share) this allows you to change the background theme of your quiz from the default green colour.
How to share your quiz:
You need to share the quiz directly with your chosen person – press share and the email symbol (envelope and enter your partners name) and send them the link. If you have never emailed that person before their username is in the class file 'HWB User names Class 7,' So keep checking your email daily to see when your partner has sent their quiz!
You also need to post a copy of the link to your quiz on the new discussion 'Link to your quiz' so that more of your friends can answer your quiz – some devices will allow you to highlight the link – right click and the go straight to the link other devices (like tablets) you will have to copy the whole link and paste it into the address bar.
You also need to try and answer as many other quizzes as possible so people can compare how well others have done on their quiz. Remember you can check how people have done on your quiz by pressing 'responses.'
You can only answer each quiz once so make sure you have read the information about the town beforehand. If you are using a computer / laptop you can have the information about the town open on one tab (Sway, word doc, PPT) and the quiz can be open in another link if you need to refer back to the information.
