Hi all,
We have now reached the final before we have the Spring half term.
We have a busy week ahead with lots of activities taking place before we finish. Please see the notes below so you have a clear idea about what is going on.
There will be a big focus on Wales this week as we work towards preparing for the school Eisteddfod after half term.
Homework: Can children please bring in their Learning Logs to help them work on their Creative Writing entries for the Eisteddfod
There will be no specific set homework task this week as we go into half term however the children will have lots to prepare and practice for the Eisteddfod, especially those who are planning to compete in the class recitation, class song. Don't forget there is also a 'home art' competition - the deadline is after half term but if you have time during half term that would be a good time to create your art (see the main blog for full details).
Mon: homework - reviewing our BBC 500 / Creative writing Eisteddfod entries
Tues: Eistessfod competition activities in class
Wed: Cardiff City stadium tour and Poets workshop (letters to be sent out) PE Kit needed for the last lesson of the day
Thurs: Begin to write our Bard poetry entry (using inspiration from the Poets workshop)
Play leaders workshop.
Fri: No PE today, due to the school dance competition taking place in the hall.
Play Leaders Workshop. Girls dance competition in the school hall to end the day.
Diolch,
Mr Ball
