Literacy / Topic: We will be beginning a new guided reading system in class that will run daily and we will continue to work on our new topic to create some descriptive writing. In addition we will be having our first literacy session with the Cardiff City Foundation on the 'All Skilled Up' programme. ‘All Skilled Up’ is a partnership between Cardiff City FC Foundation and Literature Wales, supported by the PFA and Premier League Charitable Fund. It is a literacy project aimed at Key Stage 2 children across South Wales and it aims to increase basic skills in reading, writing and speaking, whilst using football as the learning tool.

Numeracy: We will be looking at different elements of time - particularly using time in real life situations such as using timetables (often popular exam questions) and will look at some problem solving linked specifically to time. We will also be continuing with Big Maths and practice our mental arithmetic skills.

Wednesday: Cardiff City Literacy project to begin. New Learning Log homework task to be set.
Friday: LINKS session with Mr Wagner. PE kit required (other fortnightly day to be confirmed)
