The first task of 2017 will be a reading activity. It is linked to our new topic and is a short science fiction story involving time travel - it is called 'A Sound of Thunder' and is written by Ray Bradbury.
I have sent you a copy of the story to your HWB email (as a PDF) so it should be readable on tablets, PCs or Macs, or even smartphones.
Task 1 – You need to read the whole story. It is up to you
whether you decide to answer the questions as you are reading. You may wish to
complete this homework in different intervals. There are 14 pages to read 222 –
236 (pg 3 – 17 on the pdf). I would estimate that the whole story will take you between 30 - 45 minutes to read so splitting it into sections may help.
Task 2 – Learning Logs - copy the title and the LO please

qs from pages 223 – 236
PAGE 230 – FLUENCY – FIND AN ADULT TO PRACTICE your READING OUT LOUD.
QUESTION TO LEAVE OUT PAGE 225 – ANALYZE

I realise you haven't taken your learning logs home tonight, but if anyone has spare time they can begin reading the story and jot some answers down ready to copy up. If you are unable to access the PDF on HWB you need to let me know before Friday if you need a paper version printed.
