You should have received a letter about a special crime investigation workshop that will be taking place on the 22nd March.
The non-skiing children will also be going to Techniquest on Friday 18th March and should have taken a letter home explaining the trip.
I would like to pay tribute to the children for their efforts taking part in their final Eisteddfod at Penygawsi. The House and Bice captains along with the other members of Year 6 set a great example to their younger peers in terms of behaviour but also the great effort that went into encouraging and supporting their younger peers during the competitions.
The standard in the Welsh poetry recitation and singing was incredible I was really proud of all that took part. In addition, their creative writing (500 word stories) were of an exceptional standard and Mrs Francis had a really difficult job judging them.
Finally, the bard entries were also wonderful some lovely artistic writing on show about belonging to Wales and JM-H was the lucky winner this year with a beautiful poem.
Work for this week:
In language, our main focus will be looking at comprehension activities and we will look at letter writing.
In maths will continue to look at area of rectangles and triangles and volume of cuboids. Then we will begin to look at converting one metric unit to another and know the rough metric equivalents of imperial units in daily use.
