I wanted to let you know that Year 6 were brilliant in helping Year 2 to lead a special assembly for Remembrance Day. They all made the effort to learn their lines off by heart in a short space of time and all really spoke well. I was impressed by every child and the messages got across to both the staff and the children.
What's going on this week?
Rich Task: The children will be completing their work as a TEAM about their proposals for a new mining memorial in Cilfynnydd
Literacy and Language: We will begin studying a new piece of fiction over the next few weeks.
Mathematics: We will be looking at refining methods of multiplication and also begin to look at some problem solving in which they have to adopt a thought process of working backwards to find the answers. CLIC tests again on Friday!
Christmas Carol concert: During the week I will be introducing this year's Christmas production to the children and what their roles will be. Once information regarding ticket sales is available I will send it to you via the blog and Schoop.
