Year 3 Autumn term welcome letter 2018
We had a really good first 4 days getting to know each other and getting used to our new classroom. Thank you for all those who returned the book bags, We will aim to get the guided reading cycle up and running again this week which will mean the children will take their book bag home on their allocated reading day.
Spellings and homework: They will have their first home learning task this Wednesday, which will need to be returned on the following Monday (17th September). We will do some baseline spelling check-ups this week and re-allocate the children lists for the following week. We will do our spelling checks on a Monday morning.
Reminders for this week:
Monday: ECO and Curriculum committee nominations. We were able to select our sports council representatives on Friday. A few children had prepared a short speech about wanting to join the eco and curriculum committee's on our school council but I said they could have over the weekend to decide and write a short speech if they wanted to be considered for the committee.
Tuesday: PE kit needed today with trainers, please.
Wednesday: New homework (Learning Log) task to be set.
Friday: Big maths CLIC check-ups.
Diolch,
Mr Ball
