Just a quick update about the meeting to do with the Leaver's Ball on July 13th. An update about the event thus far. The PTA have booked the venue, DJ, food and will be providing a drink on arrival for the children.
Tickets - Will be sent home this week and be at a cost of £5 towards the event and the PTA will be subsidising the majority of the cost on behalf of the children.
Parental involvement - Ideas were discussed about how parents can support the PTA with the party:
There isn't going to be a set theme as such - but we will have the red carpet laid out for arrival. During the meeting, it was discussed about parents adding decorations during the afternoon of the 13th before the party and also doing some posh cupcakes (Morgan's mum has volunteered to do these - please let me know if there are any food allergies we need to be aware of). Rebecca Coles is going to find out what time parents will be able to gain access to add decorations.
Others things discussed were photography - parents are welcome to stay to take photos outside the venue before arrival and last year we had a parent who kindly took red carpet entry photos of all children and some group shots which I was able to share with everyone.
Thank you for those who apologised for not being able to attend but are interested in helping towards the party. The parents in attendance discussed communicating with each other on the yard and via Facebook.
