Week 6: 5/12/2016

Good evening all,

Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to both children and parents for supporting the PTA at the Christmas fayre. The children did a magnificent job running a range of stalls and activities to raise money for the school. I was really proud to observe them interacting well with both adults and children alike.

Thank you to anyone that supplied the children with prizes or other resources to run their activity.

I am pleased to say that it Christmas carol concert week:

The first two concerts will be the evening performances. It is important that the children attend both performances, not just the one you are attending as we have prepared two class items and some children have narration in between the class items and carols. Here is a reminder of the times:

Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th the children need to arrive in school by 5.45pm. The performances will begin at 6pm. I have said to the children that they can either dress up as a character from the nativity (if they wish) - a Shepherd, an angel, a wise man or an animal. If they aren't able to source any of those items then wearing a Christmas jumper will be fine.

Don't forget to wrap up warm at the performance you attend as we will be signing underneath the stars for part of the performances - the children will need a warm coat, gloves and a hat as well.

On Thursday 8th December we will be performing in school during the afternoon so the children need to bring in their costume / Christmas jumper for the afternoon.

Thank you for those who have brought in an LED candle / tea light. If anyone has any spare lights they could lend the school for the performances we would be grateful.

Other notices:
It is the last week of swimming this week.
There is no after school football club this Wednesday.
School Christmas dinner is on Friday 9th December.

I look forward to seeing you all during the week at the concerts.
Diolch,

Mr Ball
