School Council Voting 2016
Calling All Budding Councillors!!!
Yes everyone it is that time of year again when Penygawsi is searching for a new pupil voice! New year and slates are wiped clean. I'm starting this year with open ears and I can't wait to listen to all the fantastic ideas you have to make our school an even better place! I can't make these changes alone though. I need a team of dynamic individuals to help me on my quest.
Do you want to stand up and have your say? Do you want to be heard? If you answered yes to either or both of these questions there is no time to delay! Get your thinking caps on and prepare your campaign to become our new School Council Class Representatives!
Do you think you have what it takes to speak on behalf of your class on matters that affect you, your school and wider community? If yes, then your class needs YOU!!!
Remember my special word COUNCIL and you are half way there!
Communicate clearly.
Organisation skills.
Understand the needs and feelings of others.
Negotiate effectively.
Confidence is key!
Interested in your school and making it an even better place!
Listen to what others have to say!
If you have any of the above skills and characteristics then your mission is to persuade your class that YOU are the right boy / girl for this very important job!
You have until Monday (26th September) in the afternoon to get your campaign sorted. Each pupil will have the chance to stand up and explain to their classmates why they should choose them to represent their class on the School Council for this school year.
Voting will take place in Years 2 to 6 after lunch. By Tuesday our School Council will be revealed and then our hard work will begin. We have lots of exciting things ahead but they will only happen and be successful with the right team in place.
