Croeso Nol Blwyddyn 6!
I hope you have all had a great half term and found time to relax and recharge those batteries. We had a wonderful half term before the break and you have all progressed so well since the start of the year. I am very proud of the efforts and hard work you have all shown and know your parents were pleased with my comments during parent's evenings. I am hoping you return tomorrow with the same enthusiasm and determination. This is a great half term, with the run up to Christmas and also the Enterprise project being well under way.
A few reminders....
- Reading books, diaries and homework diaries to be in school EVERY day.
- PE kit should be white t-shirt, black shorts/ leggings and black plimsolls for those unable to go barefoot.
- Water to be brought in new water bottles ONLY.
As discussed in class and with your parents during my meetings with them, we have a huge emphasis on reading, handwriting and number. Our class targets are:
1. To read as many different genres of texts and as often as possible. Remember Dr Seuss says:
2. Know our times tables inside out, back to front and round about! Some great websites to help you are:
- www.fun4thebrain.com/mult.html
3. Ensure all our letters are joined accurately and are consistently the same size. Practise those letters at home.
Don't forget your own targets you set yourselves at the start of the term. Look in your topic books to remind yourselves of what they are.
This is going to be a great half term year 6 and I am looking forward to starting new and exciting things with you tomorrow. Here is a quote to help us on our way:
