500 Word Story
You can do it!!!!!
Our school is packed with fantastic writers: every single one of
you!!!
If you are
bored one day next week as the rain closes in on you thus causing a dismal
shroud (getting carried away with writing there), why not have a go at writing
a very short story of only 500 words?
You write more than this in Big Write every week. You will be judged on the plot (beginning, middle, end), wow words, developing a character, sustaining the reader's interest and so on. Use your VCOP skills. Think of subjects you have written about this term or something completely different.
Check out the website. It's excellent and has lots of examples to listen to.
Please give it a go! If you do, please bring a copy to me in
school and we'll read them out and share them. Obviously, I will be giving a
certificate and house points to reward you. I can't wait to see what you come
up with.
