What a fabulous way to start a new half term!  We all enjoyed our Coal House Day and the children got so much out of the activities.  The children looked fabulous in their outfits, well done everyone!  They were busy all day being history detectives.  We started the day with some drama, followed by cooking Cawl and listening to a range of work songs.  In the afternoon we were joined by some special guests who the children asked super questions to gain invaluable knowledge of life in the mines years ago and life of a modern day coal worker.  We ended the day eating our Cawl and pasties and singing a mining work song.  A super day all will agree!

Look at the photos to see all the fun we had....
