Our tactics are as follows:
- identify the pertinent information
- identify what the question is aking us to do
- work out what the first step needs to be (+, -, x, /) and what it will tell us
- decide what the next step is (do we need to use our answer from step 1?)
- check that we have answered the question
Extension
The job now is to set a mutlistep problem of your own (in the style of the ones from your homework) for your parents to solve.
Important Information
You may use a calculator to solve the problems, but you must show the sum as we hae been doing in class.
