There are two parts to this weeks homework - both will need to be done online - if you are unable to access a device at home at the moment you can do the work in school.
Task 1 - a class timetable. I would like you to design a class timetable to help you remember the key events during the week.
Key things to add into your timetable:
PE: on Week 1 it will be PE with me on a Friday and on a week 2 it will be with Mitch from Fit for fun that will take place on a Tuesday.
Next week - beginning 20th Jan will be a 'week 2' and will end before half term on a week 1 with me taking PE on the Friday (14th Feb)
After half term will begin with Mitch again on Tuesday 25th Feb and will alternate up to half term.
You may use Word or Publisher on the Office 365 app and use the 'insert table' function showed in class. You may want to draw out your timetable on paper first of all.
Other things you may want to put on your personilised timetable. Any prefect duties, play leader duties, homework (to be submitted on Monday's - unless told otherwise), any other duties you have? Spellings to be checked on a Monday morning.
You can print a paper copy of your timetable in school if you do not have access a printer.
Task 2 - Online reading book Oxford Reading buddy.
I would like the children to log on to the online Oxford reading buddy using the password |I have emailed them to your HWB email.
It is really important that we refine our reading skills this term as we work towards our final end of year assessments. Their are lots of books available to choose from but can everybody read 'The Depths of The Ocean' book which is a stage 19 book. We will be completing the quiz in class together at the end of next week.
It is a really interesting non-fiction book that I hope you enjoy and will help towards our topic.
You could choose to read a few pages each day if you wish.
Can you please email me a quick reply when you have read the book giving your opinions of the book - which bits you found the most interesting - we can add these to our 'Funky Facts' display.
