We are now into the third week and are building up momentum. Please see the notices below regarding the coming week.
Literacy / Topic: I will be introducing this year's BBC 500 word competition which I would like all of the children to enter and will be used towards the creative writing aspect of this year's Eisteddfod competition. We will be having our second literacy session with the Cardiff City Foundation on the 'All Skilled Up' programme - You’re the Commentator – Children will be asked to write their own commentary script whilst watching highlights of a Cardiff City FC match. We will all be doing a bit more work on the dangers of Time Travel linked to the homework text the children read.
Numeracy: We will be looking decimals, in particular, decimal notation and ordering decimals, and revise factors of multiples. We will also use the work on decimals to do some work related to money problems during our warm up / CLIC sessions. We will be continuing with Big Maths CLIC assessments and practice our mental arithmetic skills.
Other key days:
Monday: return learning logs to school to review homework task.
Wednesday: Cardiff City Literacy project. Learning Log homework task to be set - maths themed activity. Extra PE day - kit needs to be brought into school.
Friday: LINKS session with Mr Wagner. PE kit required
