Wythnos 2: 11/01/2016

Wow, the first week has flown by in a flash! The children have returned to school with positive attitudes and we are preparing to tackle the Spring term in full flow.

We made a great start on the first area of our new topic 'Go Team Eco' in which the children are taking on an entrepreneurial challenge called 'The Enterprise Troopers' which is a Welsh Assembly initiative that many schools take part in. We have decided to base the theme of our enterprise around ECO-friendly products in line with our new theme. After being split into new working groups the children have made a fantastic start to the project, showing great initial ideas for their products and team development. So much so that I allowed the children to maintain working towards the project on at some stage during each afternoon. We have had a discussion about the importance of this term, however, we didn't get to discuss ideas for the rest of the areas surrounding the term and our targets for the coming term, so we will discuss these during this week.

I will hopefully be able to send you a more detailed outline of the term after having a topic planning discussion with the children this week.

After completing the new PE and PPA timetables I can confirm that our weekly PE session will be on a Monday afternoon and the fortnightly session will take place every other Thursday afternoon (I will send reminders when needed) - PE sessions will mostly be indoors during this term.

Here is an outline of this week's activities:
