Super Sonic Space Science

Year 5 and 6 are well and truly into the world of space and out of this universe activities.  We started our film project last week and creative juices are certainly flowing at the thought of creating this years biggest block buster sci-fi film! The question is Who will get that precious Oscar for best animation?

To start the topic we went to Techniquest where the pupils threw themselves into the super sonic world of science.  We had a fabulous time and really enjoyed the day's activities.  We would like to say a BIG thank you to all the staff at the centre who made us very welcome and helped the children through each station throughout the day.  we thoroughly enjoyed the planetarium and discovered many amazing facts on life in space and the stars in our Milky Way.  Ask your child about their favourite constellation and whether they can describe it to you.  There are so many to choose from, it may be a difficult decision!
