LIFE BACK IN 1939...

We had a fantastic day at Blaenavon yesterday and learnt so many new things about the war. Thank you so much for dressing up; everyone made a superb effort!! Diolch. All pupils were very well behaved and said 'thank you' even if they didn't like the rationing lunch (the photos are funny!). Some pupils liked it and had seconds and thirds!!!
We learned about the 'Bevin Boys' at The Big Pit and experienced playing in role as evacuees at Stack Square. The pupils made fantastic use of the ipods by recording their drama work and taking photos to help their work back in class.
Thank you also to Mr Dunn, Kaiya's Nan and Chloe's Nan. It was cold and wet and very 'hands on' but we all enjoyed. Enjoy the photos:
