The Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans loves reading books. He has opened a new competition called;
'500 Words'.
I have been so impressed with the standard of writing in our school that I thought you should be confident in yourselves and have a go. You have to write a short story which is no longer than 500 words. You could use the best parts of your pirate stories; they are brilliant!
You have some wonderful ideas and I am willing to support you all the way.
