We are going crazy with Multiplication facts in my class. Each pupil has a 'check' table in their books and has friends to check which tables they know and which tables they need to learn.
Each pupil is encouraged to work on their individual targets. The classic tables that desperately need to be learnt are: 7's, 8's, 9's and 12's. We've been working on these in class whilst having some fun. Please try to help your child learn these at home too. They are fundamental to mathematical thinking and problem solving.

but please make sure that the pupils are challenging themselves (i.e. not playing games with the 2 x table!!).
