I'm finally back on the blog. We've had an exciting week starting our new topic 'Y Ty Glo'. The children are very enthusiastic about their coal house characters and love researching the census of Trehafod (1901), to find out about their lives and relatives. The first learning log task will be posted on Monday. Keep checking the blog for photos and notices.
SWIMMING
I had exciting news yesterday. Llantrisant Leisure Centre has invited Year 6 (along with year 3) to take part in an 11 week course of swimming. The first session will be next Wednesday (21/9) before lunch.
Please pack swimming clothes (boys - trunks not long shorts please) and a towel. They will return to school for lunch as normal. Mr Andrews will accompany them as PE coordinator. Their level of swimming ability will be assessed and they will be put into the correct swimming group so please don't worry. Swimming is such an important life skill. It is important to improve your ability, whatever stage you are at!!
