We've really hit the ground running this term. A jam-packed week of activities, new skills and a cracking trip to finish it off. 1940s Swansea Bay was an absolute hit with the pupils and the adults. The museum was small but packed to gunnels with artefacts, images, information and handson fun. We were take on a tour of the museum, which included street scenes, shops, pubs, an operations room and a photo gallery, we were able to dress up in clothes and uniforms of the era, handle the artefacts and watch a short dvd of news footage from the time. It was a fantastic way to kick start our learning for the term.
Thank you all for your immediate responses to the letter, I appreciate it was short notice, but definitely worthwhile.
Finally, a huge thank you to Mrs Evans, Mrs Kale, Mrs Roberts and Mr Dando who gave up their valuable free time to chaperone, also at very short notice. Your help is very much appreciate by me and Mr Jones.
