As the children have been off school again this week. I have thought of some additional work they could do at home, just in case they grow tired of all the snow. Perhaps this could be given in Wednesday next week.
Newspaper Reports.
Read as many newspaper reports as you can. Identify and circle complex sentences, sentence connectives and prepositional phrases.
Once the children feel confident with this they could try writing their own newspaper reports about the extreme weather we are experiencing.
