Reading.
To support our class work it may be useful for the children to read some fiction books that have real life stories in them or some classic fiction, as well as good quality newspapers.
For example many books by Jacquiline Wilson have a realistic story theme, Betsy Byers - The Eighteenth Emergency, Goggle eyes by Anne Fine, The Magic Finger or Boy by Roald Dahl.
In addition some Classic Fiction such as The Railway Children or The Secret Garden. There are also some quite good child friendly versions of books by Charles Dickens.
