The children have been given a new reading record book if they needed one. Some children still have their book from last year. All the children have a book to read at home. Some children have a specific book that i have given them. Others are choosing their own book from the class library or choosing a book from home that they read in school as well. Hopefully these books have all come home tonight. I also listen to the children read in groups in class, this allows us to discuss the meanings of words, as well as story structure and plot. please can you listen to children read at home and discuss the stories with them.
